Their research spans topics such as image and video editing and generation, 3D editing, generation, and reconstruction, multi-modal generation, and other key areas in computer vision and generative AI. They advance the frontier through cutting-edge research and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver impactful products.

 

Role Overview:

 

We are recruiting an Applied AI Research Scientist for our client, with expertise in image and video generation, to join their AI Lab. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to advance the state-of-the-art in computer vision and generative AI. Through collaboration and groundbreaking research, they aim to make significant impacts on their products and the industry.

 

This is an on-site role based in Bellevue, WA. Relocation assistance is available for new employees.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct research and develop state-of-the-art image and video generation models within specific domains.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to push the frontier of computer vision and generative AI research.
  • Mentor and guide teammates to help build and nurture a strong technical team.
  • Contribute to the research community through high-impact publications and participation in top-tier conferences.


Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in industrial research (as a full-time employee or intern), with projects in computer vision, computer graphics, or natural language processing (NLP).
  • US-based candidates must have work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization throughout employment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • PhD in computer vision, computer graphics, NLP, or related fields.
  • Deep interest in the product impact of AI technologies.
  • Strong engineering skills to transform research ideas into product-ready solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess technical trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • A proven track record of research, including first-author publications at top conferences (CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, SIGGRAPH, etc.).
  • 2+ years of industry or academic experience in a relevant field.
