Job Description:
The State of Michigan – DHHS is seeking a Conversational AI Engineer with expertise in Generative AI, NLP, cloud computing, and chatbot development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Dialogflow CX, Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Looker Studio, along with a strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI model fine-tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize a Generative AI-powered virtual assistant for dynamic and context-aware responses.
- Leverage LLMs and fine-tuning techniques within Vertex AI for advanced conversational AI capabilities.
- Implement structured conversational experiences using Dialogflow CX Playbooks and Tools.
- Analyze chatbot performance using BigQuery and Looker Studio to improve response quality.
- Create guided conversational flows and apply prompt engineering strategies.
- Enhance AI reasoning with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
- Integrate Google Cloud Functions for backend connectivity and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align AI solutions with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Monitor AI model performance and implement continual improvements based on user feedback.
